– Wear sunscreen every day.
– Never sleep with my makeup on.
– Be better about moisturizing, day and night.
– Clean my makeup brushes!
– Drink no less than 8 glasses of water a day. Not so much. Some days, I definitely got in more, but other days I honestly probably got less than 3… yikes.
– Use a Nügg Deep Cleansing or Hydrating face mask at least once a week
– Work on getting ahead of blog posts. Kind of. I’m about half and half with frantically typing something up last minute or being super ahead of the game and having 2 or 3 ready to go.
– Go through my T-shirts and get rid of the ones I don’t wear anymore. Is there something worse than a fail? Ha, this definitely didn’t happen, but I dont feel that bad as I was only home for less than two weeks the entire month.
You guys. I totally feel great about February. It was really hard to do much of anything as I was on a crazy long road trip with bebe H and my mom, but I was really good about taking care of my skin so I’m chalking it up as a win!
Looking into March, I’ve decided I want to focus more on being a better wife at home. I know, I know, feminism, but whatever. I’m staying home because I choose to, and I want to be a better wifey for the hubs because he works dang hard to provide a pretty great life for us, and I think he deserves to come home to a cleaner house and dinner a few days a week. He always cooks and cleans when he’s home, and seems to be able to get more done in half the time it takes me, so this is going to be a serious challenge.
March Goals //
– Start packing our stuff up! Whether we get the house (more about that here), or move into an apartment, it will be happening by the end of the month, so we need to get a move on the packing business so it’s not a crazyfest of throwing things in bags and boxes haphazardly.
– Get rid of 4 boxes of ‘stuff’. We both agree that we are going to have to get rid of a ton of stuff in order to live a less messy and chaotic life, so things need to start leaving the house and make their way to the Goodwill. Not only will this purge help simplify, but it will help us save almost $100 each month, as we’re currently renting a storage unit that is sucking up much needed moolah!
– LAUNDRY. It never ends. It hurts my eyes, it hurts my soul, I hate it so. Where does it all come from?! I can have it all done by Thursday and then all of a sudden Friday morning I’m swimming in more piles of dirty clothes – it’s seriously never ending. This month I want to be better about staying on top of laundry, even if that means doing it *gasp* more than once a week! The hubs and Hulk bebé both have super sensitive skin, so I feel like we’re always having to try new organic / free / sensitive detergents that are crazy expensive and dont seem to clean as well. Crystal Wash sent me their amazing new Crystal Wash 2.0 (more on that in a minute) complimentary to try and review, and so far, my boys’ skins are irritation free and I’m loving the natural cleaning power!
– Bake at least once a week. When the Hubs and I were living in Washington, I used to bake all the time and I miss it! Besides the obvious taste testing and licking clean of spoons, baking just makes me feel calm and relaxed and I know hubby loves sweet treats.
– Cook dinner twice a week. Yeah, this seems like nothing, but I barely cook dinner 4 times a month as it is. After making two meals a day for a toddler that wants nothing to do with food, dinner is usually the last thing on my mind, so I want to channel my inner Nigella Lawson and whip something up two nights a week.
I have seriously dropped the ball on household upkeep since H was born, so hopefully by starting these goals this month, I can get into a better routine and learn to manage my time better!
Because I’m loving the Detergent / Chemical / Dye / Perfume free Crystal Wash system so much, I am giving away one for free to one of you!

If you or anyone in your household has sensitive skin – this system of two bio ceramics will be an answer to your prayers, seriously. Crystal Wash will last you up to ONE THOUSAND loads of laundry, yes, 1,000 loads. It is as effective as laundry detergent but cleans your clothes naturally and is not only gentler on your skin, but also better for the environment and less harsh on your clothing. It is seriously easy to use, and I don’t have to worry about using too much or too little detergent. All I have to do is throw the two bio ceramic spheres in with the laundry, hit start and I’m done! So far, my clothes have gotten just as clean, but neither hubby nor Hulk bebé has had any rashes or skin irritations, so I’m hooked! The only thing I’ve noticed is my whites don’t seem to be as bright as when I use a normal detergent, but I’m thinking once summer comes around and I start hanging things to dry, the sun will do it’s job of naturally bleaching them bright and white again.
From Crystal Wash:
Here’s How Crystal Wash™ Works:
The pH level of laundry water impacts the wash greatly. If the water is overly acidic or alkaline it can damage delicate clothes and fabrics, cause colors to fade and cause clothing to still seem dirty even after washing. Most detergents on the market are a pH level of 6.5 – 9, but they use chemicals to achieve these levels.
The key to Crystal Wash is the Bio Ceramics:
As Crystal Wash moves around in your laundry machine during a cycle, it changes the chemistry and raises the pH balance of the water. The higher Alkaline water created by Crystal Wash enables dirts and soils to be soaked free naturally.
Disinfecting: This process creates a natural Hydrogen Peroxide which disinfects your clothes…killing bacteria and odors. These special Bio Ceramics were developed using various minerals with very effective antibacterial and anti-oxidant properties.
As the Bio Ceramics collect odors, dirt and waste from your laundry, you simply put them in the sun for an afternoon to recharge them. You only need to do this approximately every 30 days (or laundry loads). There is nothing else you need to do. Just a little sun and they will be just as effective as their first wash…. now that’s nature working with nature!

I'm so intrigued by these Bio Ceramics and I love the idea of ditching all the detergent tryouts! Sounds like it would pair perfectly with dryer balls! So… I'm following on Facebook under Danielle King and crossing my fingers!!!

And also would love to know if they're effective on cloth diapers! So also following on Instagram under _danik_ !

Danielle, I'm actually going to try them with my CDs tomorrow! I think they'd be really awesome for them? Or at least let me cut the detergent amount in half while still getting them super clean!

Great goals! One of mine is packing, too, for our move in a month! EEK! So soon!

Love that you make goals! (and do them!) I always think of them but forget to actually write them down. But I am with you on the dinner thing… I need to do a much better job with cooking for our house..

I wish I could be so accountable with my goals. Something always stands on the way of reaching my goals. I know, just an excuse:) I really have to start working on mine.

You did a GREAT job on the February goals! I love your goal for March to get rid of 4 boxes of stuff. I got rid of a ton of stuff in January and intended to get rid of some more each month, but I kind of stopped. Thanks for the inspiration! 🙂
Wandering Carol says
I'm lucky if I cook twice a year, so you're ahead of the game. I'm hoping you'll inspire me about 'stuff' – I can't get into my closets anymore!

You rocked February! I'm with you on laundry. It the bane of existence (maybe a little dramatic but I really hate it haha). I love your March goals. I'm trying to be a better wife too. We don't have kids get, but Ive been letting the housework back up big time.

Packing is the worst! I was so surprised by how much stuff I had when I moved. It's definitely a good time to figure out what you don't need and donate it or throw it away!
