Lovevery Block Set:
Our Lovevery Block Set is one of the most played with things in our entire house. And we’ve had it for almost two years now! Between H (7), J (4), and R (18 m) it is one of the few toys that gets played with daily. The boys have created towns, farms, dragon traps, pokemon battle centers, wizard towers, vegetable trucks and millions of other imaginative play builds with our single set.
In fact, we have loved it so much over the last year and have been so impressed with the quality we have given it multiple times as baby shower and first birthday gifts. We’ve also ordered multiple of their Play Kits, the play tunnel, and the stroller. See more about Lovevery: Is Lovevery Worth it?
KiwiCo helps me fulfill my inner need to be a Pinterest-worthy mom, without me actually having to do anything, you know, myself. So thanks for making me look great with every box that shows up at our door, KiwiCo!
Ok but really, this is the best things we do for the boys. My initial hesitation to adding something else to the clutter was quickly swept aside when our first box arrived years ago. There are projects in each age-appropriate box that are simple enough for your child to do on their own, as well as projects that will require some adult assistance. The best part? Once the projects are finished, they LAST.
And now with KiwiCo’s new 0-2 age box, their age spans from 0 – 16+! See more of our KiwiCo love here: Screen-Free Gift Guide for Kids and Our Favorite Minimalistic Screen Free Gift Idea for Kids.
I did the work for you and ordered like 16 different self-feeding baby utensils from amazon. And these are hands down R’s favorites. Grabease’s utensils are perfect for beginning eaters! With short, ergonomically shaped handles, your kiddo can learn to feed themselves.
I tried several silicone softer options, as I was worried about having “hard” silverware. But the silicone was pretty useless. Grabease utensils are made from hard plastic (BPA, lead, and phthalates free!), so R can actually puncture whatever food it is he’s trying to pick up. The silicone just squished everything – stay far away. There are 7 different color options and comes in a set with a fork and spoon.
While we do follow BLW (baby-led weaning), that doesn’t mean “baby food” is off the table! We found Amara organic baby food after R was born and have LOVED ordering from them regularly. Since R is now a year and a half, he’s mostly into their yogurt smoothie melts. Their plant-based toddler snacks are not only delicious but also 100% organic, non-GMO, with no added sugars, no additives, and no preservatives. So you can feel good about what you’re putting into your baby’s belly.
Looking for clean ingredients? Their Carrot Raspberry Yogurt Melts full list: Organic apple, organic coconut milk, organic carrots, organic raspberries. That’s it! And the same goes for all of Amara’s baby food. We tried almost every single flavor option of Amara’s baby foods, and there wasn’t one that R didn’t gobble down. Definite favorites included the oats, pumpkin and pear, and the potato mash.

In your parenthood journey, there will be many a cup/bowl/vessel you go through. You’ll find them full of spoiled milk under the seat in the back of your van. They’ll get left at parks and playdates and thrown out of grocery carts. Stop spending a ton of money on them!
This is our trusty pack I always recommend. Mine is the 30 pack that comes with 10 cups, tops, straws, 10 small and 10 large bowls, and tops for the bowls, in 5 colors. And did I mention it’s $15?! The cups and straws are perfect for smoothies and easy to rinse out afterward. And the bowls stack easily in a diaper bag, purse, lunchbox whatever. Great for plane rides and road trips!
