If you’re here, you probably already know what Emily in Paris is about.
But I’ll summarize just in case!
Emily in Paris is a newer Netflix binge-worthy comedic-drama where the main character, Emily, snags a new position and leaves her marketing position in Chicago for a new one in Paris. The goal was to bring a young American perspective to the Paris marketing firm, however as any drama would have it, Emily isn’t welcomed into the new firm. Her ideas are shot down and there is def some drama as the season plays out.
I really enjoyed the show (even though it’s gotten some bad press- linked here) for it’s new-age representation of marketing. You don’t see many tv shows focus on the power of digital media marketing and I loved following along in what she was saying and taking into consideration what I would do in the various situations that come up.
While the show itself did have some cringe worthy moments for sure (as any show does!) I loved that it was the perfect blend of cliché, fun, and lightness that we all needed this year.
