I love shopping, but it’s just not easily in the cards for me these days. That’s why I love services like Stitch Fix. You go in, create a style profile, and a handpicked stylist sends you 5 items to try in the comfort of your own home. Kind of like the Warby Parker At Home Try On! But for clothing.
The service is free – kind of. You do pay an initial $20 styling fee. BUT, that gets credited towards your account for whatever you keep! So, let’s say you find a dress you love in your Stitch Fix box that’s $54. You get a $20 credit deducted from your purchase, and your charge is $34 for the dress. (And if you click through my personal referral link, your $20 fee is waived, PLUS you get a $25 credit to use towards anything you purchase!)

What happens if you don’t find anything you love in your Stitch Fix that time? Reach out to Stitch Fix’s customer service! They are always amazing, and have always credited me that $20 towards a new fix, so my next styling fee is waived. Now, don’t quote me on that, but that has been my experience so far. When this does happen, tell them why you didn’t love your Fix. Be specific! I go through each item and tell them what I did and did not like about the top / dress / sweater / etc. The more specific you are, the better! Stitch Fix’s stylists want you to be happy with what you receive!
Stitch Fix Maternity Review
Here’s what I got this month! And this was my note to my stylist:
“No jewelry/accessories. I have “the cheaper the better”, but am open to going above if you feel its perfect. I love boho style, and hate shoulder cut outs. No pastels other than ballet pink / lavender. I have wide hips and shoulders and am pear shaped, so I do not like low or mid rise jeans – only high waisted. Currently 21 weeks pregnant and NONE of my clothes fit. I love maxi dresses, things that show off my belly, and hide how large my lower half has gotten.”

LUX & CO Reginy Maternity Hi Lo Short Sleeve Knit Dress
SIZE: M $58
There was no question with this one. As soon as I tried it on for Zach, he was like “YES”. Which was really unexpected! I’m not normally a big fan of the high – low hem detail on dresses. And it didn’t look like much when it was folded in my Stitch Fix box. However, once on it just felt right. The fabric is super soft and comfortable. And it will be perfect as I continue to grow and the weather gets warmer. But I also love that I could throw on a cardigan or jean jacket to make it more seasonally appropriate for February’s weather.
Verdict: KEEP!

LAILA JAYDE Dorsi Maternity Nursing Knit Top
SIZE: M $54
I wanted to like this one so badly. The texture was great, and the fabric was super soft. And I love that it’s pregnancy, postpartum, breastfeeding and pumping friendly. But the neckline was just too high on me. It hit in kind of an awkward spot, and even Zach agreed something about it just wasn’t right.
Verdict: RETURN

VIGOSS Erika Maternity Distressed Skinny Jean
SIZE: 10 $68
Maternity jeans were a request of mine for this Fix! But I should have been more specific. I’ve done full panel maternity jeans in the past, and just don’t care for them. Because my hips are wide and my torso is long, I struggle a lot with full panel maternity jeans falling down as the day goes on. These were no exception. Maybe they were too big and I needed a smaller size? Either way, even just while wearing them, it felt like I needed to keep tugging them up. The distressing was cute, but I don’t love medium wash on me.
Verdict: RETURN.

BOBEAU Draya Waterfall Ribbed Cardigan
SIZE: M $54
One thing to note with Stitch Fix – they love Waterfall Cardigans. And I have nothing against them! But I just don’t need anymore cardigans. My sweater drawer is already overflowing, ha. This color was BEAUTIFUL though. And the fabric was incredibly soft. I also actually liked the drape on this one, which is not normal for me as I feel like waterfall cardigans normally accentuate how wide my hips are. But this one seemed really flattering! There was also some really pretty detailing that I appreciated, and if I needed something like this, it would have been a keep.
Verdict: RETURN.

EMORY PARK Kamilo Lace Kimono
SIZE: M $44
I thought this was really pretty! However, I just am not quite sure if this is a need for me. The lace is beautiful, and I love the details. But I have one kimono already in my closet that gets worn maybe once a year. And while I love the navy color, it doesn’t quite work with the dresses that I do already have in my closet. I might end up regretting returning this one, but I think it’s just not quite for me this time around. Maybe if I needed it for maternity photos?
Verdict: RETURN.
This was the feedback I gave to my stylist this time:
“This did not quite feel like me. I’ll update my profile, but please no more waterfall cardigans, and no more full panel jeans. I’m going to schedule another fix, but I’d really love to find the perfect maternity jeans that do not have full panel. I really only like dark washes with no whiskering / striping. And no more kimonos. I’d love more natural fibers if possible please.”
I have my next Fix scheduled already and I’m keeping my fingers crossed for a winning pair of jeans!
