April Bless Box Review
Alright friends, can you sense a theme lately to my posts? SELF CARE is priority number one right now. Sazan, the creator of Bless Box, wanted to find a way to share her favorite products that helped her take care of herself. Included in each Bless Box is a letter from Sazan and she just has such a kind soul. I love that she’s focused on empowering other women. And wants us to focus on being good to ourselves.
This month’s Bless Box was the perfect little treat to show up on my doorstep. While April’s Bless Box was definitely heavy on the beauty, I found some great new products that I love! And the snack… oh my yum.
Here’s what was in my April Bless Box:
Salon Perfect Silk Noir Lashes 650 + Glue:
Hello gorgeous! A good set of fake eyelashes is always a huge game changer for me. Now, I dont wear them regularly, but love putting them on for special occasions. It’s like an instant face lift! Everything seems brighter and the focus goes straight to my eyes. When I was pregnant with J, I used to rub on tinted moisturizer, apply lashes and go. And something about those lashes, man. I just was so productive! And felt so much better about myself. Even while dealing with some not so pleasant side effects, like “morning” sickness.
These #650 Salon Perfect Silk Noir Lashes are gorgeous. They have just enough “umph” for a little extra drama, but are perfect for everyday. Very natural, not too long, and just enough wispy volume.
You can find these Salon perfect Silk Noir Lashes around $9 exclusively at Walmart.
Callyssee Perk Up Your Eyes Masks:
First off, if you love coffee you’re going to love these. The faint roasted coffee bean smell is delicious. And this mama needs as much help in the caffeine department as possible!
They are definitely larger than other eye masks I’ve tried, which is great. With ingredients like green coffee extract, green tea extract and aloe vera leaf to name a few, Callyssee Per Up Your Eyes Masks target and revitalize your under eye area. My Bless Box came with a set of two, so I used one last week after a particularly bad night of sleep. I applied mine after a shower and left them on for almost 2 hours while cleaning up the house. Holy bright eyes, Batman! After removal, I legitimately looked like I had just slept for a week. It was incredible.
A set of 12 (a full years worth) is $49 right now on Amazon. Callyssee has them for the same price on their website, or you can try a sample pack of one set of two for just under $10. BUT if you sign up for Callyssee’s emails, they’re always sending out discount codes!
Juice Beauty Phyto-Pigment Cream Eyeshadow Stick in Cove:
Juice Beauty is a new-to-me brand. I love that they only use organic ingredients and are vegan and cruelty free. Their phyto-pigments cream shadow stick is a best seller for good reason. Not only is the color beautiful, but it’s buildable and super bendable. And thanks to their Moisture Powder Blend, you’re actually hydrating your skin as you use the Juice Beauty shadow stick! How cool is that? I love finding products that are dual duty.
Cove is a gorgeous golden pink that is great for everyday. But I also love using it as a highlighter, too!
You can find these Photo-Pigment Cream Eyeshadow Sticks at Juice Beauty for $22. Make sure to sign up for their emails for 15% off your first order!
Bobbi Brown Eye Opening Mascara:
I’m obsessed with Bobbi Brown, but don’t always splurge on her products. The trial size tube included in this month’s Bless Box was really fun to try! But I always try to remind myself that mini tubes don’t give the same result as full sized. With that being said, I was pleasantly surprised by this mascara.
I really like how it fans out my lashes and makes them feel long. My only “complaint” is that it feels like I have to do several coats to get a good buildup. But I’m attributing that more to the mini-tube size than the product itself for now!
You can find Bobbi Brown Eye Opening Mascara at Sephora for $30.
Ella + Mila Berry Much in Love Nail Polish:
You know when you’re looking for the perfect pink color? This is it. Ella+Mila polishes are certified by PETA, vegan, cruelty free, made in the US AND are “7-free”. That means even the littlest of fingers and toes can use ella+mila! I threw this on my nails a few weeks ago and was asked several times what color I was wearing. It’s just a really really wonderful everyday pop of color without being too intense.
My biggest complaint with nail polish is how easily it chips. But so far this has lasted longer than my OPI! Which is crazy considering it’s much cheaper!
You can find ella+mila Berry Much in Love at ella+mila for $10.50. Make sure to sign up for their emails and rewards programs to earn discounts!
PopChips Peanut Butter Nutter Puffs:
You know those Bambas from Trader Joe’s I’m always talking about? PopChips Nutter Puffs are almost identical! SO GOOD. These are light and fluffy, yet crunchy and satisfying. And I can literally eat them at any time of day. The peanut butter flavor is super creamy and it’s a great source of protein. I’ve only tried the peanut butter flavor, but apparently they have other delicious flavor options as well!
You can find PopChips Nutter Puffs at your local Target for around $3! Or you can order on Amazon to stock up and save!
Deep Sea Cosmetics, Nourishing Cuticle Oil + Cuticle Pusher:
So let’s be honest. I normally just paint my nails and move on. But after opening this month’s Bless Box, I realized I never pay attention to my cuticles! And that’s a huge reason why I love a salon manicure better than my at home ones. My cuticles are always just blah. Most of them are peeling or just really way too grown out for my nails. But I dont do anything for them. Like, at all.
Last week, I started using this Deep Sea Cosmetics Nourishing Cuticle Oil at bedtime on my finger and toe nails, and woah. I swear, my nails are starting to look so much better already. Is that a thing? Does cuticle oil help strengthen your nails? Because I’m thinking yes. I’ve also noticed I haven’t gotten a hangnail since starting.
The included cuticle pusher is easy and painless to use. And it turns out that trimming your cuticles is a heck of a lot easier once you push them down! Who would’a thunk?
Garnier SkinActive Moisture Bomb Sheet Mask:
Sheet masks are the bees knees. You dont have to worry about spreading something all over your face, getting it all over your hands and hair. It’s just a simple, one step process. Hyaluronic acid is one of my favorite key ingredients in beauty products. And this Garnier SkinActive Moisture Bomb Sheet Mask has it!
In 15 minutes, my skin feels so soft and brightened. I have weird combination skin that loves to get dry, and this mask worked really well for me! It’s super hydrating and gives my skin the blast of moisture it needs. Plus, it won an Allure Best of Beauty Award! So you know it’s awesome.
You can find this Garnier SkinActive Moisture Bomb Sheet Mask for $2.50 at your local Target. Or stock up at an even better price on Amazon!
Juice Beauty Green Apple Cleansing Bar:
Another awesome product from Juice Beauty! The antioxidants, vitamin E and organic aloe make this green apple cleansing bar an awesome shower product. We have really hard water at our new home, and I’ve been really happy with how soft and clean my skin feels after using. It’s super soothing and definitely hydrating. Way less dry and itchy feeling from my hard water!
The scent is fantastic. It’s a light citrus-y apple scent and super refreshing. I love using it in the morning to help me wake up! The only downside for me is the price. I would not normally spend $12+ dollars on soap. But that’s why I love Bless Box! I get to experience new products for a way cheaper price. And it’s always fun to try new luxury products without having to shell out a lot of money.
You can find Juice Beauty’s Green Apple Cleansing Bar on Amazon for $11.40!
Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bod Buff:
Obsessed. I need a giant container of this to keep in my bathroom. And then a million travel sized containers to take with me everywhere. It’s no wonder this is so highly reviewed! Sol de Janeiro’s Brazilian Bod Buff is a 2-in-1 product. You can use it as a daily body scrub. Or, you can indulge and use it as a 10 minute body mask.
My first time, I used it as the body mask and that’s what sold me. It’s vegan, gluten free, cruelty free and is jam packed of good for your skin ingredients. After rinsing off the body mask, my skin was so ridiculously soft I had a hard time not petting myself all day. And that soft feeling lasted! Plus, the scent. Oh my, Summer. Slightly sweet smelling, like caramel, without being sickly.
Bottom line: this might be my favorite new product right now!
You can find Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bod Buff at Sephora for $25. It’s also available for $25 and free Prime shipping on Amazon!
Wen Winter Cranberry Replenishing Treatment Mist:
This smells SO good. My mother and sister in laws are both obsessed with Wen and I can see why. This Wen Winter Cranberry Replenishing Treatment Mist packs a hydrating punch. And how cool is it that you can use it on your hair AND face?!
The smell is heavenly. Just enough for a delicious cranberry scent, with a slight hint of the mint that adds a crispness. And now I feel like I’m talking about a mixed drink. It’s great to use on wet or dry hair. And I love how it kind of helps give my hair a little boost after the first day. I like to spray it on in the morning to give me a little boost of shine and kind of perk my waves back up.
The Bless Box is probably one of my favorite beauty subscription boxes out there.
I love how much value I get in each box, and the variety of products is great. To find out more about Bless Box and Sazan, head over to the Bless Box website and sign up for your own box!
Let me know if you do, I’d love to hear what you think!
