One of the biggest things you guys asked for this year was more beauty! Thanks to the reader survey, I had tons of requests for me to share the products I use. But I’ll be honest, I wasn’t giving my skin the TLC it needs. And it was showing. So I’m on the hunt for the best skincare products, both budget friendly and splurge-worthy. 

I am super excited to start this new monthly segment! And to keep things honest, brands will not be able to pay to be featured! Every single product I share in these “skincare favorites” posts will be ones that I have personally tried, for at least the month.

My favorite face wash:

Okay, so I’m actually doing something a little crazy and using two different face washes. One is hydrating and one is purifying. 

DERMA E Hydrating Cleanser

DERMA E’s Hydrating Cleanser is fantastic if your skin is like mine this time of year. Winter zaps all the moisture from my skin, and this hydrating cleanser is amazing to combat that. I use this deeply moisturizing face wash in the morning after I’ve woken up. By using this in the morning, I feel like it helps to prep my skin for the day ahead. DERMA E’s hydrating cleanser is infused with “Hyaluronic Acid, Chamomile, Lemon Grass and Papaya plus antioxidant Vitamins A and E” so while it cleanses it also is helping to improve the look and feel of your skin.

DERMA E Purifying Gel Cleanser

This is my evening face wash powerhouse. There are so many reasons why this purifying gel cleanser is amazing. It has done WONDERS for my acne-prone skin! Especially now that I’m working out most days, I was having some major issues with blackheads and acne popping up. After a week of using this at night – poof, blackheads and acne are on their way out, and basically non-existent. I’ve tried a few different brands, but the DERMA E purifying gel cleanser doesn’t have that weird charcoal smell that other charcoal cleansers typically have. The gel consistency is also really cool! Literally. It almost has a cooling effect as I wash! 

It contains some of the most powerful minerals and natural toxin fighters, and is fragrance free, sulfate free, and pH balanced. DERMA E’s purifying gel cleanser is ideal for oily, active or urban skin types, but also safe enough for reactive / sensitive skin! 

 

 

My favorite serum:

DERMA E Vitamin C Concentrated Serum

As soon as I pat my face dry from washing, I apply the DERMA E Vitamin C Concentrated Serum to my face and neck. I use it in both the morning and evening, before my moisturizer. I have noticed a huge difference in the moisture-holding abilities of my skin since starting to use this a few weeks ago! The Vitamin C helps brighten my skin and boost collagen production. And the aloe and vitamin E help keep my skin looking its best.

DERMA E Vitamin C Renewing Moisturizer

Just like the concentrated serum, this vitamin C renewing moisturizer is incredible for helping to even out my skin tone. The DERMA E Vitamin C Renewing Moisturizer keeps the daily pollutants and impurities from wreaking havoc on my skin. It’s lightweight, yet incredibly hydrating! I have no issues wearing makeup over the moisturizer and serum – in fact my makeup seems to last longer possibly? The probiotic and rooibos work together with the vitamin c to protect and strengthen my skin, for a firmer, brighter look.

 

 

DERMA E Hydrating Night Cream:

As I mentioned above, my skin gets really dry this time of year. Along with the hydrating cleanser, this is my new go-to to combat dry skin. From the first use, I noticed a difference in my skin. Especially on my forehead and chin! Thanks to the Hyaluronic Acid, this DERMA E Hydrating Night Cream is a moisturizing machine.
