Happy World Breastfeeding Week Eve!

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale has been going on for a little while now, and there has been a lot of coverage (no pun intended). However, something that I haven’t seen yet? A Nordstrom Sale post that covers breastfeeding friendly options! There are always so many cute pieces on sale that are great for Fall and Winter style, but so many aren’t conducive to nursing. Because my postpartum shape is always changing and I have a few dollars burning a hole in my pocket, I thought I’d do all the work for you! So, here are some of my favorite things from the NSale that are great options for breastfeeders.

I’m dividing these awesome nursing friendly clothes into a few categories:

Best breastfeeding friendly button ups from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale:

First, are the options with buttons. Button ups are one of my go-tos, especially because I baby wear so often. I love anything that allows for me to undo a few well-placed buttons. This is one of the more “modest” ways to find breastfeeding friendly options that aren’t marketed as such. Because it doesn’t always make sense to buy an entire breastfeeding wardrobe for a seemingly-small season of life. And I’m all about stretching my dollars!

Best breastfeeding friendly “pull down” options from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale:

Second, are the “pull down” options. A great V or U neckline on a top is one of my wardrobe staples. I practically buy a store out every time they put their deep V tees on sale. A great relaxed fit tee helps cover my postpartum fluff and is so versatile in any closet. Plus, they’re seasonally appropriate all year long! This category also includes wrap tops, which are the bees knees when looking for breastfeeding friendly clothing. 

Best breastfeeding friendly “pull up” options from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale:

Third are the “pull up” options. These are more flowy and relaxed fit tops and blouses that are easy to lift at the hem for breastfeeding. Having a less-fitted shape gives you a little more versatility in your closet, especially if you’re a working parent. With the two-shirt method for nursing in public, practically nothing is exposed. The only downside to these is that it is a little harder to breastfeed in a carrier. However it’s not impossible or that difficult! It just requires a little more maneuvering of baby, and making sure you have a light tank underneath.

Fourth are the fancier options! Because I know not everyone is a stay at home mom, and breastfeeding doesn’t have to mean basic! These are some of my favorite nursing friendly Nordstrom Anniversary Sale picks that are great for a more dressy office, date nights, weddings, etc.

And finally, I found some awesome breastfeeding friendly plus sized options as well! Because no matter what size or shape you are, you deserve to feel beautiful and comfortable. My postpartum breastfeeding self is currently a size 8/10 /12, which technically borders on and crosses over to, the “plus side” size of things. As a woman who has worn sizes 2 – 14, I know it can be frustrating to not be shown options that work for your body type. (Keep in mind that several of the options for the first four categories will come in larger sixes as well!)
