Easy blueberry cobbler (for the lazy baker in us all)
Hello holiday season! If you’re like me, you love all the food that comes along with this time of year, but aren’t such a fan of the amount of time spent in the kitchen. This Blueberry Cobbler recipe is so easy a toddler can do it (literally, this is one of H’s favorite things to make), and with only three ingredients it’s foolproof!
This super quick blueberry treat requires no prep time, just as long as it takes you to cut open a bag and use a can opener. Last minute houseguests and forgotten party invites that once sent you running to the store are no match! It’s actually one of our favorite lazy Sunday morning brunch recipes because of how easy it is to make, and how yummy it is to eat. Plus, stay tuned to find an Immaculate Baking Co coupon to save $1 off your next purchase below!
This blueberry cobbler recipe uses Immaculate Baking Company‘s Yellow Cake Scratch Mix as a base, and for good reason. Most importantly, the ingredients are all already there: sugar, wheat flour, corn starch, baking powder, salt and vanilla. But also, Immaculate Baking’s products contain no bleached flour, no preservatives, no artificial flavors, and no hydrogenated oils! So while this is a sweet treat, I don’t have to worry about what mystery ingredients are going into my body!
While this isn’t my first “dump cake” I’ve made, it is definitely one of the tastiest! The best part about these cakes is the fact that there is no measuring, no prep, no nothing. As the name implies, you literally open and dump everything into a pan – that’s it! Because of the minimal steps involved, that means no extra dishes or dirty countertops either. Just enjoying a muchly deserved, delicious baked treat. And it doesn’t get much better than that!
I’ve found that the Immaculate Baking Company’s scratch mixes make for a super yummy dump cake. It’s a testament to the high quality ingredients they use when everyone asks for more! Because the ingredients are natural, simple, and pure, we’re all focused on our next bite rather than any weird “extras”. Andplusalso, the flavor can be the hero!
Three easy ingredients for a yummy blueberry cobbler? I wish someone would have introduced me to the idea of “dump cakes” before! So few ingredients, but so much flavor, this puppy is sure to be a hit at all of your holiday get togethers!
- 1 box Immaculate Baking Yellow Cake Scratch Baking Mix
- 2 cans Blueberries in light syrup
- 1 stick Butter, sliced
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Open blueberry and empty into 8x8 pan, making sure to coat bottom evenly.
- Evenly pour Yellow Cake Mix over blueberries.
- Place butter slices randomly over Yellow Cake Mix, making sure they are even.
- Bake in oven for 45 - 60 minutes, until the butter has melted and made the top of the cobbler crispy crunchy and golden brown.
- Enjoy with a scoop of ice cream, or on its own!
- You don't have to restrict this to blueberries or yellow cake mix, feel free to mix it up! Try cherries and chocolate cake mix, peaches and vanilla cake mix, or whatever your heart desires!
