It’s totally different from Stitch Fix in so many ways, a few of which include:
- Where Stitch Fix: sends you 5 mystery items they think you’d like, Le Tote: sends you 5 items that are specifically chosen by you – so you know you’ll like whatever you get.
- Stitch Fix: charges a $20 styling fee (that’s credited back to you if you purchase anything) per box, Le Tote: charges you a monthly styling fee for unlimited boxes per month.
- Stitch Fix: you either buy or return the items, Le Tote: you wear all of the items for as long or as little as you want.
Signing up with Le Tote is really easy. You go through, like other clothing subscription services, and fill out a style profile with your likes and dislikes. After that’s done, you can “shop” Le Tote’s closet, and start adding clothing and accessories to your closet that appeal to your taste – these are the items that you’ll be sent in your boxes! Two days after I set up my account, my first Le Tote box was on my doorstep waiting for me to try on. Once you get your items, you can wear them for as little or as long as you’d like, since you’re charged by the month, and send them back when you’re ready. As soon as Le Tote is notified that you’ve shipped your box, they start your next one! That means they don’t wait until the clothes arrive at their facility – it’s as soon as the return barcode is scanned, so the turnaround is super quick! Once they get notified that you’ve returned your items, they ask you to go through and rate everything – the fit, colors, fabrics, etc, so they can recommend new items and the perfect sizes for your next pieces. You can cancel at any time and there are no commitments or contracts, and you don’t even have to worry about washing anything – Le Tote handles all the cleaning and everything as well.
My first Le Tote box was a total flub, since somehow I wasn’t given the opportunity to customize my tote. The items I received were not my taste at all, so I sent an email to Customer Service and they were amazing – apologized right away for the mishap and made it right with me very quickly.
My second Le Tote box was great, and I was able to add exactly what I wanted for the warm weather and I loved most everything in my box. I received: Octavia & Co. Fringe Feather Necklace, Octavia & Co. Rustic Saddle Bag, Urban Ma Scoop Neck Overlay Dress, RD Style Duster Length Cardigan, Tart Maternity Shirt Tail Dress, and the Leota Maternity Abstract Print Dress.
I’m a big fan of statement necklaces that aren’t too over the top (which I know is an ironic thing to say), and I love that the Octavia & Co. Fringe Feather Necklace is exactly that. The 32″ length is perfect for laying with my B.Stamped Jewelry personalized necklaces that I wear daily, or on its own. I love the bright pop of turquoise blue that is the suede-like fringe that surrounds the textured leaf pendant and light pink beads.
The Urban Ma Scoop Neck Overlay Dress is so ridiculously comfortable, it feels like I’m wearing a nightgown. It’s a rayon / spandex blend, so it stretches along with your body as your belly grows, which makes it an awesome maternity dress, but the Urban Ma dress has a hidden gem – it also doubles as a discreet nursing dress once little one arrives. This dress is also available at Nordstrom in both black and a gorgeous Teal blue, but it’s only available in the black right now at Le Tote.
One of the things I really like about the Urban Ma dress is that it is pretty easy to dress up or dress down. In this case, the Hubs and I were going on a dinner date with our favorite 3rd wheel, so I threw on some Tory Burch T Strap Sandals that I found on sale last year (they’re sold out now, but you can find similar T strap sandal styles here), and had my favorite hair and makeup artist doll me up and I called it good.

I didn't really invest on maternity wear when I was pregnant, I sure wish I did. This is such a pretty dress, the accessories compliment it nicely too. Love the sandals!
That's actually why I love the service – you just pay a monthly fee (mine is around $60 per month) and you get unlimited clothing changes! No maternity clothing to invest in, that will just sit in the closet after the pregnancy is done 🙂
