cuddle + kind: Little Collection

Now, several months later, cuddle + kind has launched an all new line of hand knit dolls: the “Little Collection” – little dolls that do a lot of good! These sweet new additions are 13″ tall and quite possibly, even more ridiculously adorable than their original, bigger, counterparts. Each Little Collection doll may be more than half a foot smaller, but they still pack a lot of giving in their small package – 10 meals are provided to children in need with each doll purchased, the same as the regular sized dolls!

We have added Scout and Benedict to our family, and they have become two of H’s favorite “snuggles”. If you have a baby or toddler living with you, then you know they aren’t gentle on things. I have been so surprised at how sturdy the construction is on our cuddle + kind dolls – not a single stitch has popped, nor have we had any issues with holes or fraying, which is saying a lot considering how many walks and trips each of them has been on with us! We even had an incident with some blueberries and strawberries on Scout’s white face, and after contacting cuddle + kind’s customer service about a care routine, they assured us we could either hand wash or machine wash on cold in a gentle cycle. After a quick trip through the washer in a lingerie bag, and laying him flat to dry, Scout was good as new!

As a parent myself, this cause is one near and dear to my heart. I feel so fortunate to not know the struggle of hunger. And it’s heartbreaking to think that children around the world don’t know where their next meal is coming from. We have always been passionate about giving back to our community when and however we can. And I think that the Woodgate family is on to something really special with their “one million meals” campaign. They have already given over 210,598 meals as of March 31st, 2016 and it has been so exciting to watch that number steadily rise. 

Where does cuddle + kind donate their meals?

One of my favorite aspects of their company, is that they don’t limit the giving to one place! Instead, cuddle + kind supports the WFP School meals Program, which provides nutrition to 18.2 million children in 65 countries. They also provide meals in the USA and Haiti through the Children’s Hunger Fund.
