A few weeks ago, I stumbled upon the coolest new product for moms: the “Cardimom ®” convertible nursing sweater (P.S. Stay tuned until the end of this post for a discount code!). This is multi-use top is definitely one of those ‘must have’s that I wish would have been around a few years ago when I was pregnant and then nursing H! These make wonderful baby shower gifts for new and experienced moms alike!
This isn’t like other nursing covers that I’ve tried, in that it’s actually a very chic (and comfortable!) top, all on its own. It’s great while pregnant, because it’s blouse-y enough to graze over my bump, and easy enough to throw on with leggings, jeans, or even over a dress if I wanna be a little more spiffy that day. The Cardimom® would have been great to have in the early days of pregnancy, when it’s more of a ‘blump’ than a bump, and you’re trying to keep your pregnancy a secret for a little while longer. I’m also really excited to wear it for postpartum, to cover the baby-less bump that has a tendency to stick around, until my body has time to recover!

MULTIWEAR has two versions of the Cardimom®: a Classic and a Cool (I’m wearing the Cool). Both the Classic and the Cool are 100% cotton, but the Cool is a thinner knit and a longer version of the Classic. They are both machine washable (my one must-have characteristic nowadays for all clothing!) silky sweaters, and the Cool is the perfect light weight cover for chilly offices, in between weather, and the random hormonal fluctuations that cause me to fluctuate between hot and cold.
I’ve been wearing this Cool Cardimom® convertible top all weekend and I love how neutral the Heather Cream color is that I chose. It’s the perfect blouse to wear with jeans or shorts, and I love how it looks as a cardigan over a knit dress. While I typically wear it on a more casual level due to my stay at home mom status, the Cardimom® is super easy to dress up as well with a fun statement sparkly necklace and some heels – that means you’re getting extra versatility out of one garment!
I’m currently mostly wearing it as a maternity poncho sweater top, because it makes for super easy and effortless outfits, but I like that I have the option to switch up my look, midday, when the mood strikes. If I do feel like switching from the maternity sweater look to a cardigan look, the process takes 2 seconds, and doesn’t even require a mirror to perfect. As shown in the first picture in this post, literally all I have to do is lift the front hem of the poncho over my head, place it right on the back of my neck, and voila! Presto-change-o, I have a cardigan!

We went to Target this weekend to check out some baby gear, and I decided to try out the shopping cart cover use, even though we were without H. I literally just took off the poncho sweater, placed the head / neck opening where the seat is, spread the fabric over the handles and the back of the seat, and it was done! I promise you, you will not sit there struggling to figure any of the uses of the Cardimom® out!

What!! I love this! I had my third baby 6 months ago and this would have been so nice to have. It seems like such an essential piece and perfect to cover that transitional "bump" post baby.
You can do so many things with this top, it's totally worth buying. I love clothes that are versatile, because I don't shop too often. This is definitely something I'll go for even if I'm not pregnant or nursing. Lol.
