A lot of you have been asking me where I got the gorgeous custom made pregnancy banner that I’ve been using to document my weekly baby bump pictures on my Instagram, so I’m super excited to share with you this weeks collaboration! I reached out to Alice a few months ago after discovering her gorgeous Etsy shop and Instagram about working together to create a sparkly pom pom banner. I sent her a few pictures of what I was thinking, and then rambled off an email about colors and design, and she went way above and beyond my expectations. Alice loves creating custom designs, so while the bump banner wasn’t in her Etsy shop when we first started talking, because of the feedback she and I have received, you can now officially get your weekly pregnancy pom pom banner at Oli and Madi!
Monday Introductions // Oli and Madi Custom Made Banners + Giveaway
Oli and Madi was started by Alice, a stay at home mama to two spunky girls, plus a boy debuting early Spring! While parenting has always been her number one priority, crafting and event planning have always been something that she has enjoyed on the side as a hobby.
She is a lover of throwing various events whenever she gets the chance, but noticed that unfortunately, many party stores do not offer modern designs. Alice then decided to channel her love for crafting to create custom banners for her daughters’ birthdays, and the results were fantastic. Because of this, she started to work on various custom projects for other people, and Oli and Madi was born!
Alice grew up watching her mother create so many things by hand: from custom blankets, dresses, Halloween costumes, and more. Naturally, it struck her curiosity and she remembers making pop up 3-D cards for fun when she was younger.
Because her daughters were one of her inspirations to start Oli and Madi, it was only right to use their nicknames as her business name. Alice is a huge fan of mompreneurs and one of her close girl friends exited the corporate world to become one. She is fascinated by this world of moms who balance both being a mom and running their own business, and is always in awe of them. Her fellow mompreneurs inspire her to stay motivated and to offer her best products and services.
Balancing a small business and being a mom has been a struggle for Alice, because she needs to find time to work that doesn’t interfere with her job as a mom. In the beginning, everything was based on trail and error and disorganized chaos, but now Alice has a better system in place to help her separate her work from being mom. She usually works while her first daughter is at school and my second daughter is napping, but admittedly, she gets most of her work done once the girls are down for the night. Most importantly, organization is key and planning determines how much workload she will be handling.
When she’s not busy running Oli and Madi and being a super mom, we can find Alice planning a fun event for the kids, starting a new craft project, or catching up on housework and spending time with her family. While she’s not much of a singer, she would totally bust out Rihanna’s “Work” if she were to ever get the inkling to try out for the voice. Why? “Because you don’t need to know all the words in the lyrics” and Alice could just bust out some dance moves and mumble through most of the song!
While each piece she custom creates is special to Alice, one of her favorites is a custom cursive name banner for a birthday she recently made. She loves how it turned out and the cursive font in gold glitter just makes everything feel a bit more special and luxe.
Please make sure you head over to Alice’s Etsy Shop: OliandMadi, and check out all of her beautiful banners she offers. Also remember that if you’re like me and have something super particular in mind that you’re looking for that might not be in her shop, Alice is ALWAYS open for custom orders! So feel free to take a page out of my book and send her an email with your ideas to see what you and she can accomplish – I promise you won’t be disappointed!
AND because Alice is amazing, and we would love for one of you to be able to take something home from her shop, we have teamed up to give away a $20 store credit to OliandMadi! Entering is super easy and only takes a minute, and you know you want a sparkly banner in your home for an upcoming pregnancy, new baby, a birthday party, holiday celebrations, or whatever fun events you have coming up in your life!
Giveaway is open to shipping addresses in the US and the winner must be 18 years of age or older to win. This giveaway is in no way sponsored by Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, etc.

You really "popped" at 11 weeks. If I ever have another child I will be sure to document my pregnancy progression again. I didn't really with my first two but did with my last. It is fun to go back and look at them.
