Have you ever seen a shirt you loved, but the print was in a color you didn’t like, or you wished it was on a cranberry tank but all that was available were black or white short sleeves? Me too! I love shopping small as much as I can, but sometimes the limitations of color options keeps me from hitting ‘buy’.
Not anymore! POP Apparel Co not only delivers originally designed prints, but also over 28 different tee and tank colors, and eight different colored ink options as well – meaning you get to choose the exact combination you want! Andplusalso – her shop is incredibly affordable, tees start at just $13!
Pop Apparel Co was started by Britnie, a 29 year old free spirit and gypsy soul who is currently living in WI. When she’s not busy being outside, hiking, practicing yoga, eating dark chocolate, meeting new people or designing and screen printing tees, she also owns a second business, Khlori’s Bouquets, creating beautiful paper flower bouquets. Britnie has always been interested in the screen printing process, so one day she just decided to bit the bullet and throw herself at it wholly. She credits it as one of the best decisions she’s made so far, and I’d have to agree! When she’s not busy being super creative, she loves loves to travel, and they do it as much as they possibly can. She also enjoys reading, thrifting and seeing and listening to live music -Britnie is totally a girl after my own heart!
Britnie is very lucky to have an amazing support system around her – her dad, boyfriend Eric, and his mom have been by her side throughout the entire process. They have encouraged and supported her 110% to follow her dreams and ambitions! Her first design she created was the Warhol tee, a huge favorite for her, and so POP! just seemed like an appropriate name to integrate into her company name, and POP Apparel Co was made! She has always had her ‘own style’ and “veered toward the more punk/grunge look for a long time – I never got into (and haven’t ever gotten into) big designers and stuff like that. I’m a HUGE fan of re-styling/re-purposing pre-worn clothing”.
Owning two businesses, her days are full. Her days start right when she wakes up around 7am and don’t end until about 10pm. Yikes! Just in case you didn’t think her load was full enough, Britnie also goes to school full time online, which allows her to do it when she has time – even if it’s 2am. Her days are definitely crazy and hectic, but she loves it! She credits loving what she does to doing what she can to balance it all.
Warhol may have inspired her company’s name, but when I asked what her favorite design is, she replied that “it would have to be the Long Live the Fearless Dreamers tee, I really love that one”. Britnie says theres a lot coming for POP Apparel Co. She just released a new section of her website where you can shop an entire outfit for your kiddo (includes a custom shirt, custom distressed denim and an accessory) for thirty five dollars (what?!) and wants to do a small line of outdoorsy inspired prints soon, but that could mean a lot of things so I’m excited to see the outcome!
A huge thank you to Britnie of POP Apparel Co for agreeing to do this collaboration with me! She is super passionate about what she does and you can truly tell that she loves her work. I love that she is following her dreams and I see big things in Britnie’s future. Her shop truly has something in it for everyone, and I love that almost every single design is available in sizes 3/6m – 3XL, so everyone in the family can get in on the POP Apparel Co goodness!
