Farm-grown, hand-picked botanicals define Farmacy beauty, which fuses age-old wisdom with cutting-edge technologies to create irritant-free bioactive formulations that support the skin’s own renewal and defense cycles.
Powered By Echinacea GreenEnvy™. A unique patent-protected variant of Echinacea Purpurea, GreenEnvy™ contains the highest known concentration of the phytochemical Cichoric Acid, a potent natural antioxidant which helps protect and firm the skin by inhibiting the enzymes that break down collagen.
Mark Veeder is the pioneer plantsman behind the discovery and patenting of Echinacea GreenEnvy™, a unique variant of Echinacea Purpurea. He has partnered with farming expert Robert Beyfuss to cultivate the plant in upstate New York. Together, they are creating jobs and changing lives in their local community.
The scientists and lab behind Farmacy are innovative experts in cosmetic formulation and research, and seek out nature’s most novel yet effective ingredients.
Echinacea GreenEnvy™ is transported only two hours to the lab, where it undergoes a cold pressing process, similar to cold pressed juices.
Today, I’m here to introduce you to Farmacy’s new Hydrating Coconut Gel Masks! Coconut gel provides intensive hydration and restores the skin’s balance. Next the bio-cellulose sheet releases its complex of components to provide the skin’s surface layers with a penetrating surge of active ingredients.
The masks come in 6 specialized formulations:
- Brightening (Activated by Antizyme-rich Purple Broccoli Extract)
- Deep Moisture (Activated by Vitamin C-rich Cucumber Extract)
- Soothing (Activated by Mineral-rich Kale Extract)
- Firming (Activated by Flavonoid-rich Celery Extract)
- Oil Control (Activated by Lycopene-rich Carrot Extract)
- Anti-Wrinkle (Activated by Vitamin A-rich Rhubarb Extract)
Farmacy sent me their Anti-Wrinkle Coconut Gel Mask to test out, and I’ve gotta say – I was a bit hesitant at first due to the fact that I’m only 26, so wrinkles aren’t really an issue for me right now, nor in my foreseeable future with my genetics. I knew I had to obviously try it out regardless, and it wasn’t like it was going to hurt me, and either way I was getting a great excuse for a mama break! Then I started reading all about the benefits my skin would reap with the Anti Wrinkle Coconut Gel Mask and I got pretty excited.
As I mentioned in my previous post, I am on a new skincare journey, and am finally starting to figure my skin out. I’ve always been a wash – and – go kind of girl, and life has been rough on my skin and its about time I show it a little TLC. All of their Coconut Gel Masks are the most finely spun sheet mask available! These coconut gel masks retain active ingredients at maximum levels more effectively, which means they can deliver a targeted and first-of-its-kind skincare experience to help your skin look fresher and more radiant – all in the comfort of your own home!
First, the coconut gel provides intensive hydration and restores the skin’s balance. Next the bio-cellulose sheet releases its complex of components to provide the skin’s surface layers with a penetrating surge of active ingredients.
This Anti Wrinkle Coconut Gel Mask in particular is said to “help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, leaving skin smoother and younger-looking”, and that “After 20-25 minutes of treatment, the skin surface appears smoother, the complexion looks younger, and the skin’s moisture level is dramatically improved.” Rhubarb extract supports the skin’s natural repair and defense processes by helping it effectively communicate with the base membrane, leaving it better nourished, stronger, smoother and younger-looking. This unique mask “combines the power of Echinacea GreenEnvy™ and farm fresh extracts activated by a bio-cellulose sheet of unprecedented structure and design”.
How to use: (You can find a great step by step video here, or just follow along below!)
Firstly, I suggest you hide from your husband, preferably in a well-light area with a large mirror, as otherwise he will likely make fun of you the entire time you’re wearing the mask and it will be impossible to keep a straight face, which will mess your mask up a little. But that’s alright, because even with a the movement of the mask from around my mouth and chin, I still felt the difference afterwards.
- “Clean” Cleanse and tone the skin.
- “Prep” Remove the mask from the sachet and unfold completely. The mask is placed between two sheets of protective mesh. Remove one side.
- “Plant” Now place the exposed mask side on your face and smooth over surface, then remove the other protective mesh.
- “Nurture” Leave the mask on for 20-25 minutes for the best results.
- “Harvest” Remove the mask and gently massage excess formula into the skin.
This was honestly the coolest spa type experience I’ve ever done myself at home. One thing to note read the directions for these Hydrating Coconut Gel Masks, at least the first time you do it! I’m glad I read the directions, because otherwise I would have gotten so confused over the fact that there are two protective layers to peel back, rather than just one like others I’ve used. I also was getting ready to rinse my face with warm water after I took the mask off, but saw the ripped Farmacy pouch off to the side and peeked at the directions again and saw that I was actually just supposed to ‘gently massage excess formula into the skin’. I love knowing the the ingredients are gentle enough in the mask to not have to warrant me washing my face and hands afterwards. To me, that shows that you can get beauty products that are not only powerful and effective, but also natural and gentle as well.
As soon as I took the mask off, I noticed that my skin was perfectly dewey. and I feel kind of silly saying this, but I felt like I looked more spunky. My skin was super soft and felt light, and I didn’t have any greasy type of residue at all either – everything from the mask had absorbed through my skin (I did keep it on for another 5 – 10 minutes to steal away a little more solo time, ssh!) with the slight bit left over quickly massaged in after removing the mask. Knowing that I won’t have to make it to a sink afterwards has me thinking that these masks would be amazing to put on during a road trip or morning errands (as long as you don’t get out of the car with the mask on!).
You can find Farmacy’s Hydrating Coconut Gel Masks at Sephora.com as of August 18th, 2015, and in Sephora stores as of September 18th, as well as On Air on QVC as of September 8th 2015! They retail at $24 for a pack of three and I would happily pay that for each mask, especially because I know getting the same treatment from a spa would be at least twice that for one! At just $8 per mask, these Hydrating Coconut Gel Masks are a wonderful and easy way to sneak in a little ‘you’ time.

I am looking forward to heading to my local Sephora and picking up more – I think this time I might want to try the Brightening mask! With the hyper pigmentation I experience especially during the summer from being outside so much, I’m intrigued to see how it would brighten my under eye area and even my skin tone / freckles.
What mask would you want to try?

How did your skin respond in the days following? My skin is so sensitive to changes in routine that I'm apprehensive about trying new things (chicken, I know, but when you know what works for you, you don't mess with it, right?).
