I was so excited when eShakti reached out to me to see if I’d be interested in trying out their uniquely customizable online boutique because I had heard great things about them from friends and other bloggers who had used their service. Being slightly under ‘Amazonian woman’ on the height scale, while having a large chest and hips with a small waist has its fair share of fit challenges. Usually if a garment fits my chest and hips, its way too big in the waist, and I typically need to size up to get a little extra length on dresses and tops so I’m not flashing anyone if I bend over, so I excitedly browsed their easy to use website to decide on a fun summer dress that would fit my frame.
Once I chose my dress from the hundreds of dresses, tops, skirts, pants, shorts and jumpsuits, I had the option to choose either a standard size or custom size and also had the option to customize the style of the dress: I was able to choose the sleeve type and length, the length, the neckline, the embroidery and whether I wanted pockets or not to ensure I get the exact piece that I want. I entered in my custom measured sizes and chose to keep the dress sleeveless with a split boat neckline and asked for a little extra length on the bottom.
It took almost exactly 18 days from the time I submitted my order to the time my happy mail from eShakti arrived at my doorstep, and now they’ve stepped up their game and reduced the time to 12 days – which for a custom, cut-to-order piece is awesome.
The dress slips over my head easily and has a small hidden side zip to close. The fit is surprisingly perfect – I even measured and they cut it exactly to the measurements I asked for, and the fabric is so lightweight. I love walking, spinning and dancing around in this dress, and the way it moves with me as I do it all. The crisp white and blue is so perfect for summer and the Hubs has requested I wear it on our next date night, so I’m pretty sure that means he approves.
