Rad Revolution’s all natural wooden teething rings are finished by Mallory’s own hand with a homemade beeswax and olive oil wood finish, and is perfect for your drooling mess of a dude / dudette. With these most recent molars, I wet down the fabric in the sink and throw it in the refrigerator for a little while to chill, and then reassemble it to the wooden ring and hand it over to H. He loves how the cold feels against his swollen gums and I love that he’s not chomping on me! If When he gets it dirty, I just take the fabric ears off, toss it in the washer and lay it flat to dry and it’s good as new. Not only for teething, he also just kind of loves to chat to it and loves flipping the ‘ears’ and waving it around!
Baltic Wonder recently sent me this Baltic Amber Teething Necklace to try out and so far I think its made a pretty noticeable difference in H’s temperament. I have nothing against giving littles pain medication like tylenol or ibuprofen, especially when they’re in pain, but I know they do a number on my stomach and my system is a lot more developed than H’s, so I try not to give any to him unless completely necessary. Amber is a great alternative to over the counter medications for babies and tots while teething! Baltic Amber is supposed to give their immune system a boost, and has both anti-inflammatory & analgesic capabilities thanks to the succinic acid. The longer he wears it, the more I notice he seems calmer and much less fussy – something that makes all of us happier!
If you follow me on Instagram you’ve probably figured out by now that my The Vintage Honey Shop necklaces and LILLEbaby carrier are my two biggest must-haves for my daily #momlife. H is deep in the pits of teething despair right now, and most days the only thing that makes him happy are being held, being outside, and nursing. These two combine the best of both worlds and give his little hands (and sharp nails) something to occupy themselves with while nursing while also letting me get a break every once in a while by giving him something to chomp on. There are so many beautiful options for any mamas (or papas!) taste, and they’re great for teething, nursing, and bottle fed little ones alike! Jen and Mel, the two mamas behind the shop, handcraft every necklace and check, double check, and triple check each one to make sure it’s up to their high standards. H and I have been wearing these since H was around 3 months and they are amazing at keeping his sharp nails and rough hands off of my face and hair while he’s nursing or while I’m wearing him in the LILLEbaby. Check out their Instagram, Facebook, or Shop for all the glorious options and make sure to use code ‘q215’ to save 15% off your purchase until July 31st 2015!
Have you ever had to deal with a teething little? Do you have any tricks that work for your family?

I have just recently learned about the Baltic Amber for teething kids and I wish I had known about it when my kids were younger. I think it is great there are more options instead of medications.

My son has nearly all of his teeth now, but teething was miserable for him. I want to try one of the Amber necklaces with my daughter when she starts cutting teeth! I've heard wonderful things about them.
Shannon says
I love that I can also wrap it around his wrist or ankle too!

This is a post I needed, my nine month old just got his first tooth two days ago, and he has a bunch more that plan to follow. My friend really liked the amber necklace as well, so I think we may start with that. Thanks for the great teething ideas, I am not a big fan of giving medication to the little guys if I can find a home remedy.

You are so welcome – I hope you find something that helps!

We are going through teething right now and I have found a stalk of celery works great! It had something in it that helps numb the gums, which is awesome since I can't find the Amber necklace! It kept getting last in babies neck roll so I took it off, one of my biggest regrets so far lol.
Shannon says
Oooh – that's an awesome bit of information! I always have celery in the house so I'll have to try that!

I think my favorite of those is the wooden teething ring! I need to look into getting one; my toddler's always got her fingers in her mouth and she needs something safe she can keep in her mouth at all times.

I loooooooove our Rad Revolution Kids teething rings! And she has the CUTEST prints!

Oh my gosh I need some of these! My 19 month old is cutting two bottom teeth. We use to have an amber necklace but then she started chewing on it so I had to take it off. I love the teething necklaces though!
Shannon says
Ha thats why the mommy teething necklaces are awesome – so much less likely to lose them!
