Hello again Wednesday! It’s time again to catch up with some of my new favorite bloggers and find out what we’ve all been up to this last week.
What I loved about the past week // I loved getting out of town for a little with my two favorite dudes. I loved walking around a new town with H while hubby was in a meeting. I loved how everyone went goo-goo for H when he smiled at them as we were walking around. Most of all, though, I loved coming home and getting back into our normal routine. I loved all the conversations about our future that Hubs and I had. I loved how exciting it was to finally buy our tickets for our J14 get together.
What I’m looking forward to // Going on a 2 week road trip with H to see my Aunt in Texas. Also – Texas. A wonderful reprieve from the cold Idaho weather, yes please. H seems like he’s getting SO close to walking and talking, and I can’t wait for him to take those first drunken zombie steps. The approximately 35 days until we get on a plane to go and meet our J14 village. The Approximately 40 days until I get to hug my grandparents again and they get to snuggle H. The fact that Birth Without Fear and the 4th Trimester Bodies Project are both coming to my town!
What I’m nervous about // The fact that we just closed on two more duplexes and I already feel like I’m drowning in work. I’m nervous I won’t be able to keep up and H’s mama time will suffer. I’m nervous about the life decision making that will be happening soon. I’m nervous about keeping up with everything. I’m nervous about taking a 2 week road trip in a camper van with a 12 month old baby and going Bat Shiz Cray Cray without the help of my Hubs.
What I’ve been daydreaming about // Meeting up with my J14 village (are you tired of hearing about this yet?!) and their families. The upcoming months. Our family. Buying a house. Decorating said house. Where this house will be located.
What I ate for dinner last night // My favorite super foods salad, a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, blueberries and a glass of wine. Yes, I need to go grocery shopping…
What I’m craving // Crunchy peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on Dave’s Killer Bread. Gin and Tonics. Beets. Garlic roasted brussels sprouts. Kale Salad. Apple Juice. Shredded pork street tacos with fresh squeezed lime.
What I’m doing this weekend // Celebrating Pop Pop Peterson’s birthday. Going on a real date with Hubs for Valentine’s Day (major wife fail on my part though – I have NO idea what we’re doing, and haven’t planned anything… whoops! Time to start planning!) Starting my 2 week road trip with Hulk bebé.
What else is new // Everything and nothing – does that make sense? H has decided his newest favorite activity is the Hulk smash and likes to do it all day, every day.
He actually took more than one bite of food several days this past week – yay! He’s still nursing five hundred million times a day, but a victory is a victory, no matter how small – right?
The weather is finally starting to clear up and get warmer, which means lots more family walks with H in the LILLEbaby and Hubs and I holding hands like teenagers, and they are the highlight of my day.

Have the best time in Texas and send some sun back our way! I am craving beautiful weather and I hope Idaho keeps giving it to me! I am also dreaming of buying my dream house in AZ next year after we get settled into the community down there, but my husband wants to buy rental properties first. A girl can dream!

Have a great trip and just enjoy it…everything else will get done in time, I worry about that "to do" list that lingers in my head too

Yup, if you come to Texas warm weather awaits you. Meanwhile, I am a Texan who longs for 4 seasons…that don't all occur in one week. 🙂

I LOVE that you call baby steps "drunken zombie steps." That might be the best description ever. Also, you guys are just too cute and I hope you have tons of fun on your road trip! And also again, I had no idea you put my button on your blog! Thank you so much! Yours will be going up on mine today!
