Treating postpartum hair loss with Pura D’or
Have we talked about postpartum hair loss yet? If not, it sucks. That awesome, thick hair that you gain during pregnancy is ripped from you after you give birth. Around three months PP, my hair decided it was breaking up with me, and 10 months later, I’m just now, finally, getting the dreaded regrowth. It’s like I have bangs. All over my head. That I did not request from my stylist. So rude.
Because of this, I’ve been attempting to be more conscious of the products I use in my hair to help keep it as healthy as possible to aid in the restoration of its former lioness mane glory. It was fate when Pura D’or sent me their Premium Organic Argan Oil Based Hair Loss Prevention Shampoo, Premium Organic Argan Oil Based Conditioner, and Pure and Organic Argan Oil to try out. I’ve been getting really frustrated with my current routine and the more I read about Pura D’or, the more I liked their company and their values and was excited to try their system out.
Why I love Pura D’or for postpartum hair loss:
For more than four years, Pura D’or has been creating organic products and solutions that work naturally. All their ingredients are sustainably “grown on trees, not in test tubes” and are handcrafted rather than mass produced via a machine. They are a cruelty free company that is also USDA Certified Biobased and USDA Organic, and the Shampoo is currently the #1 best seller in Hair and Scalp Treatments on Amazon.
Whether you’re suffering from a multitude of hair issues like myself, or you’re one of the lucky few who have perfect mermaid hair, Pura D’or’s Organic Hair Loss Prevention Shampoo and Conditioner are amazing.
The anti-hairloss shampoo contains 12 DHT Blockers, creates thicker hair and prevents further hair loss. And both the shampoo and conditioner are argan oil based to add some shine and health back into your locks! Pura D’or is also free of SLS (sodium lauryl sulphate – a nasty detergent that can be very irritating to skin) parabens and gluten. Because they are so gentle on your hair, they’re fine to use daily no matter what your hair type, but I’d recommend trying to stretch the time between washes to keep hair at its healthiest.
My results from using Pura D’Or Anti-hairloss shampoo and conditioner:
In the month I’ve been using the duo, I have noticed that I have way less hair fall out, and it seems to be growing a little faster than usual. Not only are the products great for your hair, but my goodness do they smell wonderful, especially the Lavender Vanilla conditioner.
My husband is a huge fan of vanilla scent, but is very picky about it and dislikes many because they are sickeningly sweet. He always comments about how delicious my hair smells after I shower, and the light pleasurable scent actually stays for several days after, which I’ve never experienced before.
Pura D’Or Pure and Organic Argan Oil:
The Pure and Organic Argan is great for skin! It’s 100% cold pressed. It helps create smoother skin, restores nutrients to cells and reduces scars. Argan oil is known to strengthen not only your skin, but also hair and nails, and can enhance the growth of both, so it’s great as a treatment for dead and split ends as well as brittle nails. I kept away from my roots and focused mainly on the ends of my hair, as the balayage color is super drying and terrible for my locks and it’s been great at keeping my flyways tamed as well.
My hair is fine but thankfully I haven't had many issues with it (other than getting flyaways like nothing else). I'm curious to see if that will change once I have kids of my own!
I never had issues with hair before having a baby! Enjoy it while you can 😉
Love all of your mom style posts girl.. Makes me excited to get back out there and do more outfit posts for my blog 🙂

It took me almost a year to finally get back into my own personal style posts, but I am so glad I did!
Your style is great – I love the jeans! My hair is crazy curly and thick – I would welcome some loss!
Thank you so much! I used to wish I had thinner hair, and now I wish I had more! Be careful what you wish for 😉
SO FUN! My husband just gave me a similar jacket and I've been trying to figure out how to wear it! Thanks for the inspiration!
Thank you Susan! I usually wear it similar to a neutral because the greens go with everything!
I hate to say that I have always been very blessed with very healthy hair and even after pregnancy did not experience this, however my sister-in-law has a lot of issues so I have a basic understanding of your troubles. So sorry to hear you are dealing with this and good luck working on a solution.
Oh I am so jealous!! It;ll all grow back eventually 🙂
I've always loved the look of a comfy relaxed grey tee paired with a camo jacket. I really want to buy a camo jacket.. but I'm so worried I won't have enough things to pair with it to make it worth the money!
Army print + grey, goes together SO nicely! You look good!
Thank you!
Love the outfit!! That jacket and those boots!!
My hair is SO thin now thanks to having my son, I am going to have to try that Para D'or!!
Looking way too cute to be a mom! Haha love that outfit!
Haha, thank you Claire!
Lovely outfit, you always style so gorgeously. I am not familiar with Pura D'or but will be checking it out as my hair has gone and died on me so need new routine to revive it.
I'm on the lookout for ways to wear my boots. I don't know what the best pant is to wear with some of my boots. Your outfit looks great.
I love the outfit and hope you find something that helps with your hair. Pregnancy does the weirdest things to us!
That Fatigue Army pattern jacket is so adorable! First time I've seen one (usually see pants). You really rocked that outfit 🙂
I love that jacket, so so so cute!
Obsessed with your jacket. I love anything military inspired!
I love your style!! and I am excited to buy this shampoo…. I have always had thin hair, but after 6 kids back to back.. my poor hair needs some TLC badly!!!
Love the booties! Very cute look. 🙂
I didn't experience the hair loss with my first, so I freaked out a little when it happened with my second! Thanks for the product recommendation!
I've never had a hair loss problem, but this is good to know. Love the style!
Loving this! 🙂
Thanks for the hair & beauty tips! Good to know.
