It’s been a little while since I’ve posted some fun “mommy and me” outfits, but as many of you know, photographing a toddler is no easy task. Now that I’ve found the most wonderful local photographer, I’m super excited to announce that the mama and mini style posts will be coming back – yay! To dip our toes back into the game, I want to share with you two of our current favorites: Honey Bee True Co, a small mama-run shop, and Daniel Wellington, a super classy watch company. P.S. I feel like I might need to apologize in advance for the amount of pictures I’m about to throw at you – McKenna did such an amazing job with these that it was too hard to narrow it down to any less than what you’re going to see! Maxi skirts are kind of my BFF right now, because, hello, 25 weeks pregnant. I bought this leopard printed swim coverup maxi dress probably like 5 years ago when we were on a trip to Seattle, and it gets more compliments than any other piece of clothing that I own. While H&M hasn’t made this style in a long time, never forget that […]
Mama’s outfit: Teething Necklace // Tank // Chambray // Shorts // Sandals Mini’s outfit: Tank // Leggings // Moccasins [use code SHYNNZ to save 10%] As our temperatures reach ridiculously high temperatures this week, we’re doing just about anything we can to stay cool – mainly lots of pool time, snow cones and my bff: the A/C. Shop Dinkys sent H this adorable “Chill” tank from Pop Kids and it’s been on repeat, because, baby toddler arm rolls give me all the heart eyes and the neon orange is ridiculously cool, plus the little double popsicle graphic is the perfect mix of toddler cool and adorable. I love these “sketchy” leggings because they’re 100% organic cotton, super breathable in the heat so H doesn’t overheat, they are the perfect companion to the tank and his Tiny Wears moccasins [enter to win some for your little here]. You know I’m a sucker for coordinating with the Hulk, so I found my coral Six Soldiers “original recipe” tank from last year and threw it over a pair of white denim scallop hem shorts I thrifted last weekend for THREE DOLLARS. Considering they were $49.50 originally and are still listed on the Loft’s website for $25 makes me feel like […]
I’m so excited to introduce you to one of my favorite new shops, Rescued Rumps! I discovered Janelle’s shop about 8 months ago on Instagram after starting our cloth diapering journey and getting frustrated that none of harrison’s pants were fitting him correctly. If you cloth diaper, you know what I’m talking about: you usually will have to go up at least one size to accommodate the extra fluff in the booty, but then the legs are too long and have to be cuffed, which looks terrible, and sometimes you end up with excess fabric around the waist and legs which looks even worse. Plus, babies grow out of everything so fast you feel like you’re constantly having to buy new things, which is hard when you’re on a budget! Rescued Rump has an easy solution to this: her Grow With Me pants (also known as Maxaloone pants)! These super cute and comfy Maxaloones fit a wide range of sizes, which means one pair can last you up to 4 years! FOUR YEARS PEOPLE! There are 4 different sizes: NB which fits 3-6 months approx, Size 1 Mini fits 3-18m, Size 2 Original fits 6m-3y and size 3 Maxi fits 1y-5y! […]
I am so excited about today’s review and giveaway! If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve probably seen the ridiculously adorable beanies and knit bandana I’ve been putting Harrison in. They are from Khaki and Chrome, an Etsy shop that sells handmade knit items for “stylish little ones and their moms“, although I think dads could totally rock them as well! I received the Graphite Children’s Knit Slouchy Beanie and Bandana set and the Children’s Knit Beanie with Neon Pom. I knew as soon as I opened the package, that I was in love! Harrison is normally not a huge fan of wearing hats, and typically will fuss and try to rip them off his head as soon as I put one on so I was curious to see how he did with these. He must have loved them as much as I did, because he actually let me put them on and didn’t yank it off! The beanies and bandana are handmade by Mariah with super soft acrylic yarn and are (my favorite part) machine washable! The finishing is gorgeous and everything is so well made that even my Martha Stewart-esque mother, who has been knitting for more years […]
It’s no secret I have a bit of a shopping problem, and baby clothes are my kryptonite. I can’t help myself – everything is so much more adorable in itty bitty sizes, and I get so excited when I find things that not only make H look like a super stud, but are also stylish! Hunt|West Clothing is all of the above and more. When I saw this ridiculously amazing “Boy” thinking web tee, I just about swooned. I have never seen anything like their design, and I love that it describes H so well: “stinky, strong, tough, dirty, ROWDY, courageous, loud, adventurous, WILD, silly, rebellious, BRAVE”. Did I mention he loves eating bark, dancing, screeching, giggling and crawling at the speed of light? It seriously feels like the shirt was made for him. The tee is also so, so, so soft! I’m very conscious of the fabrics I put against H’s sensitive skin, and was happily surprised by how well it washed as well. I had no shrinkage or peeling / pulling of the print at all and it was still super soft! (They are printed on American Apparel tees, so I always recommend washing inside out on the cold cycle and hanging or laying […]
