Show off the newest member of your family with these adorable hello baby photo collage birth announcement cards from Basic Invite!
I’m sure there are moms out there who are far more on top of their game with their newborn birth announcements, but I figure we’re better late than never! Right? When Laken came over to take our family lifestyle newborn pictures, I knew I was going to want to use them for our announcement cards. The pictures were colorful and bright, and I love how she captured our little family.
I thought the hardest part of making baby J’s birth announcement cards was going to be narrowing down which photos to use. But I was wrong. So wrong. Choosing which layout to use for the cards was way harder!
There were so many perfect options on Basic Invite that it took several days of picking and choosing, and recruiting family members to help me pick! I finally had it narrowed down to two options. Either the “hello baby” or the “watercolor ombre boy birth announcements”! A little rock, paper, scissors and “hello baby” was the winner!
I’m a stickler when it comes to ordering things online. I’m always afraid the colors will be off, the pictures will be fuzzy, the lines won’t be straight. Because of that, I always double check online reviews and google as much as I can to make sure I’m going to be happy with the outcome!
When I found Basic Invite’s birth announcements and researched their company a little more, I knew I had found a reputable online card store to trust with printing baby J’s cards. And the fact that I could order a sample to ensure I was going to be happy with the end result? That was pretty amazing.
Why order from Basic Invite?
Let me count the ways! Literally. With over 100 different birth announcement and baby announcement card options on their website, there is no possible way you won’t find what you’re looking for. They have classic photo birth announcements, vintage modern style announcements, and everything in between.
Once you decide on your favorite card to celebrate the birth of your little one, the customizations don’t stop there. One thing I really liked about Basic Invite was the fact that I was able to change each color element on the birth announcements. All the text, the background, the banner, and more. Whatever I wanted to change, I could! And change I did! I took advantage of the over 160 different color options and made J’s customized birth announcements perfectly “us”. To the tiniest details, just the way I like it.
Along with changing the colors, I also changed fonts, spacing, and more.
And not just on the front of the birth announcement either! On the back of the card, I was able to add a photo of our new family of four as well as text. Because our birth announcements for baby J are going out a little later than anticipated, we decided to also make them our holiday cards. So the front says “hey, check out our adorable new baby” and the back says “hey, happy holidays, here’s what we’ve been up to!” Two birds, one stone as they say!
Once I finalized my design and colors on the front and back, it was onto envelopes. Not only did I get to choose between 40 different colors of envelopes, but I had the option to change up the liners as well. I’m in a very “white” mode right now (which my husband thinks is super boring), so I chose the crisp white.
I also added our new addresses onto the envelopes to save me a step while addressing. To save another step, all of Basic Invite’s envelopes are “peel and seal”, which means no licking! Because let’s be honest, it took me two months alone to order birth announcement cards. I need all the help I can get!
I honestly felt like Basic Invite is unlike other online card printing service I’ve tried before.
Between the number of birth announcement templates, all the color options, the custom samples, and custom add ons, they are the one to beat. I have never been able to order such customized cards that had every single detail the way I wanted it like I have with Basic Invite.
Don’t need birth announcement cards? No worries. Basic Invite has you covered for every one of life’s events. They have adorable baby shower invitations and first birthday invitations for families with young ones. But that’s not all! There are custom cards for weddings, holidays, graduations, bar and bat mitzvahs and baptisms as well. I even started looking at their customizable stationery! I’m a big fan of thank you notes, and love that I can make my own for any occasion.
I am super happy with how our hello baby photo collage birth announcement cards from Basic Invite turned out! Definitely head over and make sure to check them out for all of your invitation, announcement and photo card needs.
