Remember when I told y'all about Deseret Industries' Grand Opening event? Well, it was a goldmine of goodness! H and I went on Thursday morning for the ribbon cutting and to see what all the first day of opening would hold, and while we weren't quite early enough (the line wrapped around the building by the time we got there at 9:30am!) to grab the Radio Flyer I had my eye on, I was able to score two gorgeous bronze elephant-adorned wooden chests that are going to be perfect for our living room redo, and some amazing like - new Hunter clogs for H for THREE DOLLARS.
We only had 30 minutes to look around on Day 1 because of a previous commitment, so I had to run in and run out, but on Saturday afternoon, after some major begging from the Hubs, we made the 35 minute drive again to see what else we could find - and I'm so glad we did! We ended up finding a pair of brand new Hugo Boss and Banana Republic work slacks, a Nordstrom brand button up for the Hubs at a whopping $6 each. At $18 total for his new additions to his work wardrobe, we're both pretty happy - especially considering almost the exact same Hugo Boss slacks are currently at our local Nordstrom rack for over $90 (originally $190 at Nordstrom!).
This mama definitely doesn't need anything else in her wardrobe, but my will wasn't strong enough to resist Deseret Industries' crazy good deals. I may have even out-scored Hubs with three dresses (two of them brand new!) and a sleeveless blouse for $22. I mean, how am I supposed to walk away from a $4 top and $6 dresses?! Exactly. So not my fault for giving in, they were practically begging me to take them home and add them into my rotation!
So I present to you - a $4 short sleeve blouse, that is super on-trend with the vegan leather and scallop detailing. This was a no-brainer. The olive green is perfect for Fall and winter, and is so easy to dress up or down because of the fun collar. Because the blouse is a looser, flowy fit, I paired it with some high waisted skinny jeans, neutral pointed toe Seychelles booties, and a 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target bag (remember that craziness? Yeah.), and then topped it off with my favorite go-to Zodiac necklace from Amelia Presents.
This outfit is easy enough for our Monday toddler signing class, but I would also feel super confident heading out for a date night with Hubs because the blouse is dressy enough with the fun scalloped edge faux leather collar with the laser cut out details! There's actually a Catherine Malandrino top at Last Call by Neiman Marcus that has almost exactly the same detailing, and even on super clearance it's still $40 - so I literally paid 1/10th of the price for a designer-esque top (that I actually like a whole lot more) - high fives all around.
