I recently received the #IDoVoxBox from Influenster and have really been enjoying the beauty and snack products they sent me! Haven't heard of Influenster yet? Its a product discovery platform and review site that "helps members find new products to try and get advice so they can make informed purchases. We help our members compare products and guide them on how products can be integrated into their life. We inspire a love for products and encourage conversation, discovery, and reviews."
Basically, I fill out surveys and review products, and from time to time I am sent trial and full sized products completely complimentary in exchange for my honest and unbiased reviews and to test out in what they call a VoxBox - many of them before they even hit the market!
This time I was sent the "I Do" Voxbox: "Whether you're a bride or a guest, this VoxBox will have you wedding-ready and looking your best!", which was in perfect timing for summer wedding season.
This is awesome. I'm not much of a makeup wearer, other than a little mascara, so I didn't really understand what this was until I played around with it and read a few reviews. The biggest mistake I made with the Nanoblur was to try to use it as a primer, before foundation, and the fact that I tried to apply it like I do my daily lotion. Now that I've figured out the correct way to apply it, life is good - make sure you 'pat' it on lightly after applying your foundation and letting it dry for a minute. I won't say it made me look 10 years younger, but it does make my pores look a lot smaller and it does give me a great matte finish without having to cake on powder.
#2. Neutrogena hand cream. #JustaDab
I'm pretty sure this Neutrogena hand cream needs to be in every handbag and bathroom drawer around the world. While I wouldn't necessarily think of it as a summer wedding essential, it is my favorite for winter when the cold air zaps my skin of any moisture. Neutrogena's hand cream is amazing for dry and cracked skin, especially hands and feet. I'll sometimes lather a bunch on my feet and then put on some straight-from-the-dryer warm fuzzy socks, and wear them overnight to let the Norwegian formula sink in.
#3. Outwear Longwear Lipstick #950 Plum Fury
#4. Covergirl Outlast Stay Luminous Foundation #820 Creamy Natural. #GlowtheDistance
I have been really and truly impressed with these two Covergirl products. In the picture below, I applied the lipstick and foundation to my hand, but ended up falling asleep for I could wash them off (whoops!). When I started making breakfast the next day, they were both still on my hand, and nothing had been transferred to either the pillows or the sheets!
The foundation is very long lasting, without being heavy or cakey, and I typically mix mine with face lotion to turn it into a lighter tinted moisturizer. The lipstick is a beautiful red / pink / purplish/ plum color that is almost iridescent depending on how the light hits it. The formula is light and actually keeps my lips feeling moisturizers, unlike some other long wearing lipsticks I've tried that have made my lips feel dry.
#5. Skinny Girl Tasty Nutrition Bar. #SkinnygirlGetsHitched
First I should preface this with the fact that I am not a lemon fan - unless it's Sour Patch Kids or an actual lemon wedge. Lemon flavored sweets and snacks usually leave a bad taste in my mouth and my tummy feeling a little upset, so I was not excited about testing this out initially. After trying it out - it's ok. Not great, not terrible, just ok. The lemon flavor isn't too overwhelming or overly sweet, but it was still a little too lemony for me. The size is perfect to throw in a clutch or diaper bag for on the go snacking, and I like that there are no artificial flavors or artificial sweeteners! If you're a lemon fan, I think you would enjoy it, but for someone like myself the other flavors, particularly the Dark Chocolate Almond with Coconut sound fantastic!
#6. Sahale snacks Glazed Nuts. #SnackBetter
Yum! I got the Sahale Snacks Almonds with Cranberries, Honey and Sea Salt glazed nuts mix and it is delicious! I love that the mix has both sweet and salty, and crunchy and chewy components, which means that the mix works really well for my cravings. I threw this in my diaper bag and opened it during a long day of shopping to get a little energy boost and to satisfy my sweet tooth without regret. With 7 gram protein and 4 gram fiber, it kept me going the rest of the afternoon! Its also certified gluten free and a wholesome snack that you can feel good about feeding the whole family.
#7. UrgentRx Ache + Pain Relief to-go. #myurgentrx
To be totally honest, I was completely perplexed by this UrgentRx packet when I opened my VoxBox. While the flavor isn't my absolute favorite, it's a pretty awesome and effective pain relief method. The packet is so small I almost couldn't find it in my huge Mary-Poppins bag, but just being able to rip open the packet and pour the powder on my tongue to help with back pain is incredibly convenient - especially considering I didn't even need to drink water to take it! As an added bonus, the 60mg of caffeine gave me an extra little boost to get along with my day after the 650mg of aspirin kicked my back pain to the curb.
